Not my cup of tea really. I tried pie and mash at this one in Frith Road, Croydon old town (opposite Surrey Street market) and I thought the pie was full of fairly tasteless, runny mince. I have never really liked the parsley 'liquor' either. But each to their own. Others may like it. Here is a TimeOut guide to (some of) London's Pie & Mash shops. Well worth bookmarking or copying for those into this sort of thing.
Cheers, Dave*
http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/londons-best-pie-and-mash-1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658648.post-34088991912142343772012-02-19T20:43:01.081+00:002012-02-19T20:43:01.081+00:00What a bunch of beautiful creatures, thank you so ...What a bunch of beautiful creatures, thank you so much for sharing this!tahoe treasure chesthttp://www.tahoetreasurechest.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658648.post-48339109134971876602011-11-28T14:57:42.546+00:002011-11-28T14:57:42.546+00:00I agree that the satsuma easily wins the taste tes...I agree that the satsuma easily wins the taste test, but wouldn't blame someone in Belgium for its demise as nobody I speak to knows the difference between the two.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658648.post-13781559369956055082011-10-04T01:38:38.453+01:002011-10-04T01:38:38.453+01:00On a visit to Qld, I had morning tea there a coupl...On a visit to Qld, I had morning tea there a couple of years ago and the words that sprang to my mind were gauche, vulgar and crass.
Can't work out why people like it!?
My 13 year old daughter loved it to bits!Amandahttp://www.lambsearsandhoney.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658648.post-41823705380919294302011-10-04T01:21:11.432+01:002011-10-04T01:21:11.432+01:00Welcome back. Over recent years I have stood back & watched the insidious growth in supermarkets replacing my beloved fruit with the tasteless & sickly Clementine. Every year it gets more difficult to find Satsumas, which used to be such an integral part of Christmas when I was younger.I believe the reason lies in the fact that other European countries prefer the taste of the Clementine causing producers to change but we have stood alone in Europe before & need to rally & start fighting back.
